Cooper Island
An easygoing beach club, clear water, and the wreck of the RMS Rhone across the channel.
Cooper Island is quiet and unhurried: one beach, one beach club and clear water off the rocks at either end. It’s an easy place to spend an afternoon swimming and an evening ashore.
Across the channel off Salt Island lies the RMS Rhone, a Royal Mail steamer wrecked in an 1867 hurricane and now one of the best-known dive sites in the Caribbean. Certified divers can book a rendezvous dive, and in calm conditions snorkelers can see the shallower parts of the wreck from the surface.
